How attribution works
Every track page generates its credit block for you, with a one-click copy button. Paste it into your video description (or stream panel / show notes). It looks like this:
Song: 27 Sky - Moonlit Motorway [27 Sky Release] Music provided by 27 Sky Free download & usage terms: https://27sky.com/track/moonlit-motorway
Missing attribution is the one thing that voids the free license — if you forget, just edit your description and you're covered again.
About YouTube Content ID
Some 27 Sky tracks are enrolled in YouTube's Content ID system via our distributor (you'll see a note on those track pages). If you use one, YouTube may automatically place a claim on your video. This is expected and normal. It is not a copyright strike, your video is not taken down, and your channel is not penalized. The claim simply applies the revenue-sharing terms of this policy to that video. If you believe a claim is a mistake, or you're a Gold member, contact us with the video link and we'll resolve it.
FAQ
›Can I monetize videos that use 27 Sky music?
Yes — that's the whole point. The free creator license covers monetized YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram and similar user-generated content, as long as the credit block is in your description.
›I got a Content ID claim on my video. Is that bad?
No. Some 27 Sky tracks are enrolled in YouTube Content ID through our distributor, so YouTube automatically flags where the music is used. A claim is not a copyright strike, your video stays up, and your channel is unaffected. It simply routes a share of that video's ad revenue per this policy. Gold members get claims cleared on request.
›The claim seems wrong — how do I dispute it?
If you're a Gold member, or you believe a claim was applied in error (for example on a video that doesn't use our music), dispute the claim in YouTube Studio and reference this policy page, or contact us with your video link and we'll release it.
›Can I use the music in ads or client work?
No — brand, agency, advertising, game, film/TV and other commercial placements aren't covered by the free or Gold tiers. Request a commercial sync license instead; it's quick.
›Can I remix, re-upload or redistribute the tracks?
You can edit, cut and loop tracks to fit your video. You can't resell, re-upload the audio on its own, redistribute the files, register them in Content ID, or claim them as your own music.
›Do podcasts count?
Ad-supported podcasts on open platforms are fine under the free license with a credit in the show notes. Branded or sponsored podcast productions need a sync license.
›What if I go Gold and later cancel?
Videos published while your Gold membership was active stay licensed without attribution forever. New videos after cancellation need the credit block again.
