27 Sky is the project and label of MJ Kuok, a producer, DJ and songwriter from Singapore. He first stepped into the spotlight as a Singapore Idol finalist in 2009, then moved from the mic to the decks: playing ZoukOut Singapore and Djakarta Warehouse Project in 2016 under his earlier name MMXJ, and writing at production camps alongside Alan Walker's and Diplo's teams.
Across his releases his music has passed 15 million streams, went to No. 1 on Spotify's Viral 50 Singapore for three weeks with "Kings" (2015, co-written with Gentle Bones), appeared on the compilation Billboard Presents Electric Asia and was licensed for Netflix's Offline Love. Tatler Asia named him to its Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow list.
In 2026 he brought everything under one name. 27 Sky is both the artist and the label: from 6 November 2026 it releases a new single every Friday, continuing through 2027. The sound is melodic house, future bass and K-pop-shaped dance pop, vocal-led and uplifting. Every track is owned outright and licensed directly from 27sky.com, free for creators with a credit, with a venue licence for cafés, bars and gyms, and quoted per brief for brands and screen.
